Message from the Desk
Dear Parents and Students
It is my privilege to serve Rishi Senior Secondary School as one of the board members. I consider it an honor to have the opportunity to lead school with such a long-standing history in academics and extra curricular activities. I have been working virtually with the teachers and the students from Sweden but trust me it feels like I am right there in between them. I have been getting a good amount of support from the staff and parents as well as their kids in reconstructing the school in every aspects. My entire focus is on school overall development which includes both academics and behaviour growth of the students. I also encourage the parents to get in touch with the Student Care team, Academic team and Behaviour Management team if they have anything to share about their kids. Parents are the perfect messengers when it comes to their own child. Therefore, I urge all the parents to reach out to the teachers whenever required. I focus on progress reports of the students even if there is a minor progress. We work together as a team to keep a track of your child’s at every given point. Remember every child is different therefore their learning abilities are not the same as of others. My request to all the teachers is to assess the students on the basis of their individual performance. The students are not only assessed on the tests they write every term but should also include their attendance, behaviour, daily class participation and homework . I also do surprise visits in different classes to see if there is any scope of improvement in the teaching method of the teacher or if the students are giving 100 percent in the lessons. I strongly encourage parents to spend the last fifteen to twenty minutes before bedtime promoting some kind of reading activity. We have also designed parents teachers meeting to help determine best possible way to meet the unique needs of each individual student. When a child comes home from school with a complaint about a teacher, your first obligation is to listen with undivided attention. After listening to his version of the situation, you may feel you need to contact the teacher to get his side of the story and feel free to contact me if the issue is not resolved.
Today’s with this fast pace technology, schools have also gone digital even during their lesson time. Keeping this fact under consideration, we have also introduced digital platform in our school where parents and students will find it easier to access every bit of school information from attendance, fee, time table, holidays, homework’s assignments and their grades.
Last but not the least, we thank you for trusting us with your child and giving us this opportunity to educate them with full dedication and hard work.
Thank you
